During the winter of 1430, Jeanne had to endure the company of a mainly hostile Court. On April 30, with the ending of a fragile truce, Jeanne went into battle. Her voices told her that she would be taken prisoner by midsummer's day.Whilst helping to defend the town of Compeigne, Jeanne was captured by the Burgundians. Apathy, shown by Charles and his advisers to Jeanne's plight, is utterly disgraceful.
